The card for UFC 176 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, is starting to come together with several bouts having been announced in the last couple of days.A pair of Strikeforce vets will collide as Derek Brunson (11-3) looks to bounce back from a comeback 3rd round TKO loss toYoel Romero that ended a 2 fight winning streak, when he collides with fellow Middleweight Lorenz Larkin (14-3) who has lost 3 of 4 and is coming off a TKO loss tao Costas Philippou.
At Lightweight Nova Uniao product Walmir Lazaro (12-2) will make his promtional debut on a 11 fight win streak, against TUF 15 vet James Vick (5-0), who in his promotional debut a year ago submitted Ramsey Nijem.
Also at 155 lbs. “King” Booby Green (22-5)and his 7 fight win streak, that includes UFC wins over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause, and Pat Healy, clashes with Blackzlians member Able “Killa” Trujillo (12-5); who coming off wins over Roger Bowlng and Jamie Varner.
Team Alpha Males Danny “Last Call” Castillo (17-6) meets fellow Lightweight and TUF 11 winner Ton Ferguson (15-3). Catillo has on 6 of his last 8 fights and is coming off a KO of Charlie Brenneman. Ferguson at UFC 173 returned from a 17 month layoff to KO Katsunori Kikuno.
UFC 176 is on August 2nd and features Chad Mendes nd shot at Jose Aldo’s UFC Featherweight title.
