MMA Action Returns to Las Cruces with SouthWest Brawl 6
American Fight League will be presenting SouthWest Brawl 6, August 12th, at the Las Cruces Convention Center, currently 2 fights have been made official for the event.
Las Cruces own Billy “The Puerta Rican Assasin” Colon who has all his wins by submission will mix it up with Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico’s, Ramon “Tyson” Grano, who has all 5 his wins by finish,. Colon is looking to halt a 4 fight skid, while Grano is fighting for the first time, since submitting Antonio Jones in June of 2016.
In Flyweight action Red Spider MMA’s Johnny Guillen will square off with Gene “The Kid” Perez of Perez Fighting Systems. Guillen from El Paso, Tx, has been quite after a 2016 that saw him in the MMA cage 3 times and the Boxing ring 4. The always down to stand and trade fighter was last in action at the end of November 2016, 
losing a split decision to current King of the Cage Jr. Flyweight Champion Tim Sosa. Perez from Belen, NM, last had a mixed martial arts bout in April of 2015, getting submitted by Jesus Urbina in the main event of KOTC: Onslaught. Not in the cage but in the ring, Perez has stayed busy with 7 boxing matches. Since the last cage fight. Back on the 22nd of July Perez scored a hard fought, unanimous decision win over John Herrera in the main event of School of Hard Knocks, Throw Down in Alien Town.
