LFA 184 Results, Diaz Scores Comeback TKO Win over Lewis

It’s not about how you start the race but about how Ozzy Diaz finished it.

Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to one of their more frequently visited venues the Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California for LFA 184. A 9-fight card headlined by a Light-Heavyweight bout between former LFA champion Ozzy Diaz squaring off against UFC vet Bevon Lewis.

A horrible first round for Ozzy Diaz included getting taken down twice and having to survive multiple choke attempts from Bevon Lewis. The second round was a different story as Diaz fought off Lewis’s takedowns. The expanded energy in the first would played against Lewis in the second as he skirted along the fence trying to recharge his battery. Diaz placed his foot on the gas pressuring with his boxing before dropping Lewis to his knees with a left hook and finishing on the mat.

A challenging first round saw Javier Reyes come back to stop Chase Gibson in the third round. Gibson had a strong first round taking Reyes down and taking his back. Reyes reversed the situation in the second round. By the third an exhausted Gibson was saved by the ref as Reyes was dropping down elbows from mount.

Lightweight prospect Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani racked up some cage time going the distance for the first time in his career.  Lebosnoyani came in with five of his six wins on the ground and got in some important minutes putting his striking to the test against Victor Kuiks. The win is the 5th in his last 6 outings for the 25-year-old.
