Heavyweight Prospects Meet in Fightworld 36 Headliner
A Heavyweight headliner has been announced for August’s Fightworld event in the Duke City.
Fightworld MMA 36 is set for Saturday August 24th at Revel Entertainment Center in Albuquerque, NM. The main event will be a clash of the titans as Fit NHB’s Billy Ray Valdez battles JacksonWinks Academy’s Dwight “Akuma” Maters. Both men are 1-0 in the Boxing. Valdez has both his professional MMA wins by first round stoppage having knocked out Ian Allston at CFFC 116 and submitted Lorenzo Figueroq at LFA 165. Maters followed up submitting Shawn Morgan in his pro debut with second round knockouts of O’Shay Jordan & Petera Wilson.
Coming off his first professional win, a submission of Xavier Martin, Richard Jenning from Desert Dynasty MMA will take on Carlos Pacheco from the Elite Kickboxing Academy, who got his hand raised at Fightworld MMA 34.
In a women’s special feature at 120lbs. will see Team Gold Rush’s Hannah Pierce taking on Adriana Burciaga out of Elite Kickboxing Academy.
