Pair of Former Champions booked for Bellator Championship Series San Diego

The card for the first Bellator Championship Series Event in America has added some familiar names the Bellator faithful will recognize.

Former Welterweight champion Douglas Lima is moving up to Middleweight to face Aaron Jeffery. last May Lima made a successful transition to 185lbs. defeating Costello Van Steenis by unanimous decision. Jeffery was a CFFC champion before signing with Bellator. The Canadian with a trademark mullet has knocked out Austin Vanderford and decisioned Dalton Rosa in his last two wins.

Former interim Bantamweight champion “Supa” Raufeon Stots will take on Brazilian Marcos Breno. Stots is coming off a second decision win over Danny Sabtello. Breno is a power puncher who beat Josh Hill by decision in his promotional debut ending a streak of four consecutive wins by first round knockout.

Additionally Lorenzo Larkin coming off a first round knockout of Alan Dominguez  will square off with Georgian Levan Chokeli, who’s won three in a row.

Bellator championship series, San Diego takes place on September 7th  at the Pchanga Arena.
