10 Fight Card Official for UFC Noche
UFC social media was a buzz on Friday night as Dana White revealed the card for UFC Noche at the Sphere in September.
The September 14th event will be headlined by “Suga” Sean O’Malley defending the UFC Bantamweight championship against number one contender Merab Dvalishvili. O’Malley comes in off his first successful defense at UFC 299 over Marlon Vera. Dvalishvili is on a ten-fight win streak that includes three wins over former champions.
In the co-main event Alexa Grasso & Valentina Shevchenko will battle for the UFC women’s Flyweight title for a third time. Last September at the first UFC Noche they battled to a split draw. The rivalry has only intensified since then as the two have been serving as coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter”.
In Featherweight action the fight that was made on short notice and didn’t happen at UFC 303 has been rebooked. Number three ranked Brian Ortega will take on the number twelve ranked Diego Lopes. Ortega was forced out of UFC 303 on fight day due to illness. Lopes remained on the card and beat Dan Ige on four-hours’ notice. Plus, on the prelims number four ranked Women’s Bantamweight Irene Aldan will take on number ten ranked Norma Dumont.
