Championship Doubleheader set for UFC 305 in Salt Lake City
The UFC Octagon will be returning to Salt Lake City in October for the third year in a row with a card full of riches.
The fastest growing superstar in MMA UFC Light-Heavyweight champion “Potan” Alex Pereira will defend against fellow knockout artist number eight ranked Khalil Rountree Jr. Pereira is 4-0 at 205 lbs. in the UFC with the last three by knockout. Rountree Jr. is on a five-fight win streak, four coming by knockout.
Raquel “Rocky” Pennington will defend the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title for the first time in the co-main event against former champion “The Venezuelan Vixen” Julianna Pena.
UFC 307 is set for October 5th at the Vivant Arena in Salt Lake City Utah.
Former UFC Featherweight champion, number nine ranked Jose Aldo will face rising contender number twelve ranked Mario Bautista. Former Bantamweight champion, number eight ranked Featherweight Aljamain Sterling will square off with number six ranked Movsar Evloev.
Former PFL Featherweight champion Kayla Harrison the number three ranked Women’s Bantamweight will face number two ranked Brazilian Ketlen Vieira. In the Women’s Strawweight division number six ranked Marina Rodriguez faces fellow countrywomen Iasmin Lucindo. Former Women’s Strawweight champion will return from maternity leave to battle Tecia Pennington.
At Middleweight the number ten ranked Roman Dolidze will face fan favorite Kevin “The Trailblazer” Holland. Former two-time title challenger, number nine ranked Welterweight Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson will face number eleven ranked Joaquin Buckley. And lastly Ukrainian finisher Ihor Poteria faces Brazilian kickboxer Cesar Almeida.
