PFL announces “Battle of the Giants: Brace for Impact”

The PFL debut of former Heavyweight champion Francis N’Gannou has been book for the company’s return to pay per view in October.

October 19 will be the first event for the  PFL Super Fights division of the organization. The newly invented PFL super fights championship belts will be on the line in the main and co-main events.

Former UFC champion Francis N’Gannou will face 2023 PFL Heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira.

N’Gannou (17-3) will be returning to MMA for the first time since defeating Ciryl Gane to unify the UFC Heavyweight title in January of 2022. That was the last fight on the “Predator’s” contract. After recovering from a horrible knee injury N’Gannou lived out a childhood dream venturing into boxing jumping right to the elite facing off with Tyson Fury & Anthony Joshua.

Much like N’Gannou, Renan Ferreira (13-3) is an imposing figure standing at 6’8”. Ferreira’s road to the 2023 PFL Title was paved by three knockouts. In February at the PFL vs. Bellator event “Probelma” stopped Ryan Barder in only twenty one seconds.

The card will also see the most decorated women’s Featherweight in mma history Cris Cyborg facing two division PFL women’s champion Larissa Pacheco.

Cyborg (27-2) is a former Strikeforce, Invicta FC, UFC & current Bellator Women’s Featherweight Champion. The Brazilian knockout artist and expanded out side of mma Boxing in four of her last five fights. At Bellator 300 last October Cyborg put an end to her rivalry with Kat Zingano by first round knockout.

Pacheco beat Kayla Harrison to win the 2022 PFL Women’s Lightweight title and came back in 2023 to win the PFL Women’s Featherweight Championship. A finisher in her own right Pacheco has eleven knockouts and eight submissions. The 29-year-old is on an impressive 10-fight win streak.
