BKFC Spain now Championship Triple Header
The card for BKFC 66 has taken a loss while the promotions debut in Spain has been bolstered even more.
The backdrop and the opponent have changed but the Middleweight throne will be challenged this fall. David Mundell will no longer be facing “King Mo” September 13th in Hollywood Florida. Will “King Mo” still fight for BKFC? That part remains to be determined as no official reason was given for the cancellation.
“The Redneck’s” focuses have now been shifted to October 12th where he’ll defend the BKFC 175 lbs. world championship against one of the toughest men in the UK, former BKFC UK Light-Heavyweight champion Danny Christie.
Florida’s Mundell camp over to Bare Knuckle from MMA in 2019 as much of an unknown and within three years became a world champion. The reigning BKFC Middleweight champion is 8-1 in the company with his last 3 wins coming in the championship setting. The Shift MMA representative is on a 6-fight win streak with the last 4 wins coming by knockout.
Christie is 5-1 in the sport with 4 of the wins coming by knockout. Wins over Terry Brazier & Darren Godfrey put Christie on the map in the UK. A fourth-round knockout of Anthony Holmes put the BKFC UK strap around his waist. Christie defended his title at BKFC 60 stopping David Round in the first round. The move down to Middleweight was a successful one in June defeating Jimmy Miller by unanimous decision.
Along with the BKFC Middleweight, Welterweight, & Vacant Lightweight title fights, the Marbella audience will also see MMA journalist Oscar Stephen-Willis against combat sports broadcaster Ben Davis, for some reason. The New BKFC 66 co-main event is between top five ranked Featherweights Howard Davis & James Brown.
