BKFC announces championship doubleheader for December in Florida
Fights for the BKFC Light Heavyweight & Women’s Flyweight world championships will be featured of the promotions third DAZN card.
The BKFC 2024 calendar will conclude on December 21st at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida with a Championship doubleheader.
In the main event Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren defends his BKFC Light Heavyweight title for the first time against Mike “The Marine” Richman. Warren is unbeaten in his last four fights. The Florida firefighter captured the vacant title after dominating Jomi Escoboza for five rounds. Richman is a Bellator vet who’s hoping the third time is charm as he looks for BKFC championship glory. Following a loss to reigning middleweight champion David Mundell, Richman, announced his retirement. Nine months later, Richman was back in the squared circle defeating Eric Lozano by fifth round knockout. The 39 year old has all six of his bare knuckle wins by knockout.
In the main event, the baddest woman on the planet, BKFC women’s flyway champion Christine “the misfit“ Ferea will defend against Florida’s own Christine Vicens. Ferea is on a seven-fight win streak but has received major criticism for a less than an exciting decision win over Jade Masson-Wong in the main event of BKFC 65. While Ferea put her fourth consecutive defense in the records books the was far below her standards. A point that felt evident as her celebration was cut short and Christine Vicens was brought in for an immediate face off.
Vicens wasted no time jumping into the deep end when she signed with BKFC. She won her first assignment at Knuckle Mania 2, defeating Jade Masson-Wong by third round stoppage. Next up was UFC veteran Jocelyn Jones- Lybarger who Vicens beat by decision. And at BKFC 62, Vicens caused enough damage that former title challenger Melanie Shah didn’t see a second rounds.
