BKFC Spain Promises to be a Landmark Moment

“It’s been a crazy journey to get here. This is our entry point into mainland Europe, where we’re going to take over the fight world.”

Those words came from BKFC president David Feldman at the BKFC Spain fight week press conference. An utterance of confidence, a belief that the fastest growing combat sport in the world will only continue to bloom. The addition of Conor McGregor to ownership has quick taken the company’s publicity to another level.

BKFC has already put on events in America, Canada, Mexico, England, & Thailand. The debut in Spain is the next evolution in the BKFC calendar as this will be the first premium level event outside of America. It’s also the company debut event of DAZN which will exclusively host the premium events.

In the main event the Lightweight title vacated by Luis Palomino is up for grabs as 6-0 Tony “Loco” Soto faces Spain’s Franco Tenaglia.  Soto had been chasing down Palomino before he vacated the title and says “this is a surreal moment, and I’m just ready to put on a show for the fans. I love it here, and I’m just here to put on a (expletive) show for these beautiful people. Let’s go!”

As for how Soto believes he get the job done ““I’m going to wear that man down like a cheap (expletive) tire. I can’t wait.”

Tenaglia has racked up a 3-0 record in the promotion and knows what a historical moment this could be “I represent both Spain and Argentina, and all Hispanic people. I come from the streets, and that’s going to make the difference on Saturday. I’ll let my fists speak on Saturday.

In the co-main event former Boxing world champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout defends the BKFC Welterweight title against 9-2 Bare Knuckle vet Rico Franco who’s 3-0 in BKFC.

Austin Trout has defied the odds by proving a pure boxing style can be successful in the Bare-Knuckle world. Ahead of his first title defense Trout is more determined than ever to make a point. “As a two-sport World Champion, this is the one that means the most to me. It confirms what I’ve always known in my mind – I’m a bad man in that ring and these fists are special. It takes a special person to get to the top of one game, and then come to this brutal game. Tough men ain’t got the balls to do this, so this confirms that I’m one of the baddest (expletives) in the game.”

Rico Franco has had to clear many hurtles to get to a title shot and believes his power will make the difference. “This has been an incredible journey. On Saturday night, this right hand is going to crunch on his skull, he’s going to feel it. That’s what I’m here for.”
