LFA 194 Results, Magomedov out Guns Leyva
Legacy Fighting Alliance was in Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino for an interim Welterweight title fight that didn’t get out of the first round.
Shamidkhan Magomedov returned to the LFA from a stint on TUF 32 to defend his interim LFA Welterweight title. The challenger two-time Olympic wrestling representative for Mexico Alfonso Leyva who has all seven of his wins by knockout.
The fight would play out quickly and decisively. The raw of the crowd brings the roof off the joint. Magomedov putting out two jabs a cross following land to Levya’s ear sitting him down. The Mexican warrior quickly popping back up a left hook right cross send Leyva flying back and the ref ending the bout. In 77 seconds Shamidkhan Magomedov displayed what he’s capable of with a full camp. His message was clear and simple “I want the UFC.”
Mirafzal Akhtamov won his 7th fight in a row across three different combat sports submitting Scottie Stockman in the LFA 194 co-main event. Akhtamov knocked Stoman down with a sharp combination and jumped on the neck force getting the submission by guillotine. Former title challenger GiGi Cantu overwhelmed Ershirley Kessy on the ground to earn a first round TKO. A power jab and big elbows on the ground saw Austin Vanderford defeat Victor Romero. And world class grappler Beatriz Mequita jumped on the back Shannel Butler getting a rear naked choke in the first round.
