Garry vs Buckley set to Headline UFC Tampa

The UFC has announced a bout between rising welterweights will to the five round main event for UFC Tampa in December.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is returning to Amalie Arena in Tampa Florida for a Fight Night on December 14th. The UFC has announced Ian Machado Garry & Joaquin “New Mansa” Buckley will square off in the main event.

Ian Garry is an unbeaten Irish phenom with a 15-0 record. The number 7 ranked UFC Welterweight contender has 7 wins by knockout including stopping Kenan Song & Daniel Rodriguez. The last three wins have all gone by decision over veterans Neil Magny, Geoff Neal, and Michael Page.

This is a significant opportunity for the 26-year-old having his first five-round fight inside the octagon.

Joaquin Buckley is a knockout artist with a 20-6 record from St. Louis, Missouri. In 2020 Buckley became an internet sensation knocking out Impa Kasanganay with a jump spinning back kick. More importantly in 2023 “New Mansa” dropped to Welterweight. The results have been spectacular as Buckley is on a five-fight win streak with three knockouts earning the number 9 a lot in the contender rankings.
