LFA 199 Results, Visconde Starts 2025 with Memorable Knockout

It’s only the First LFA Event of the year but we may already have the Submission & Knockout of the year.

Billed as a bout between high-level grapplers the fight between BJJ black belt Erick Visconde & three-time BJJ world champion Ary Farias came to an end in a blink. Farias spent the majority of the first round on the Visconde’s back. Visconde came out more aggressively in the second round. Visconde spun off a lazy Farias jab the right elbow putting Farias out cold and into a faceplant.

California native Josh Hokit excited his home state fans at Tachi Palace by scoring a first round TKO. The Jacksonwink product steamrolled over John Lopez following a single leg takedown. The Bellator vet softened Lopez up with strikes once having to reset Lopez down before taking the back sliding in his hooks flattening and punching to the finish.

Former Bantamweight title challenger Rafael Do Nascimento made a successful transition to Featherweight submitting Brandon Altomore in the first round. Matching right hands would see the rare double knockdown. Nascimento then turned to his grappling. Altomore escaping from an armbar saw the chance to take top position and went back into Nascimeto’s wheelhouse. Nascimento isolated a leg, triangled around it and sucked Altomore back in completing the calf slicer.

In his LFA debut Shovkhal Churchaev displayed a bit of everything taking a unanimous decision win over Enkhtur Bayartsogt.

Theo Haig continues to impress after securing his sixth submission win in six pro fights.  Haig weathered the storm from a very aggressive Said-Magomed Abdulgaziev before pressuring the takedown getting the back and collected his third rear naked choke.

For the first time in his pro career Billy Ray Valdez got his hand raised from the scorecards. Valdez out struck Larry Gonzales for the entire fifteen-minutes. The Fit NHB fighter consistently worked the body opening up overhands to the head. The Heavyweight with the output of a Middleweight taking a clean sweep of the cards.

Edmund Kwan opened the main card stopping Shelden Struble in the second round. Kwan earned his fourth finish and first by TKO with ground and pound from the mount overwhelming and exhausted Struble.
