
BKFC Philly No Judges Needed
The nine fight BKFC Fight Night Philly card didn’t see a fight get past the fourth round.
Ryan Petersen was first to strike in the main event knocking down and cutting Dustin Pague around his right eye. The UFC worked his way back into the fight stunning Petersen with a left hook and was swarming at the bell. Pague completed the comeback win in the second nailing Petersen square with an overhand right. Hooks from both sides with Petersen stuck on the ropes leads to the standing TKO.
Off the huge win Pague called to fight the winner of next weekends BKFC 79 main event where Julian Lane & Gogo Salveski will battle for an interim Welterweight title while champion Austin Trout is involved with the Lightweight title tournament.
Two knockdowns saw Rosalinda Rodriguez dispatch of Gabrielle Roman. The former boxing champ scored her first knockdown from a double left hook going body and head. Rodriguez pounced on Roman finishing the bout with a heavy straight right. At 3-0 Rosalinda Rodriguez is looking for a title fight.
Light Heavyweight John Garbarino is growing into a real contender. The Sun of South Philly dropped Erik Lopez three times in the first round. The first of the three was a breath taking left hook that you have to give Lopez credit for standing up from. Garbarino collected a fourth knockdown in the first thirty seconds. A vicious jab from the southpaw collects the fifth and final knockdown. Garbarino is now 3-0 and has been virtually untouched.
Italian MMA pioneer Alessio Sakara made a successful BKFC debut with a second round knockout of Erick Lozano. A busy brutal clinch in the first round saw Sakara cut under his left eye while Lozano was cut under his right. Sakara found his footing in the final thirty second of the first round knocking down Lozano with five successive right hands. In the second Sakara found the finish trapping Lozano on the ropes and work him over with left hands.
After the fight BKFC Cruiserweight Chris Camozzi was brought into the ring. The promotion will be back in Rome Italy October 25th. The most famous Italian MMA fighter against a champion with Italian bloodlines makes business sense.
Pat Sullivan scored his first BKFC win by jumping right on Austin Peterson at the bell. Sullivan cracked Peterson with a lunging left hand and followed it with a pair of hooks to the head before ripping off a pair of devastating body shots for the 15 second finish.
The longest fight of the night saw Cody Vidal stop Maurice Horne in the fourth round. Horne was knocked down for the first time in the third by a Vidal left hook. Vidal went for the kill in the four putting Horne back down with a straight right and the second knockdown of the round a right upper cut sealed the deal.
Lightning struck twice for Elijah Harris who improved to 2-0 with his second 7-second knockout from an overhand right and left hook flooring Ishiah Carson.
In a one side domination Lex Ludlow improved to (2-0) knocking down Lewis Rumsey five times to get the TKO win. Ludlow scored three knockdowns in the first round and two more to the finish in the second with three of the five from right uppercuts.
Dalvin Blair stopped Jason Dinunzio in the 1:23 into first round with four knockdowns. Blair collected the first knockdown with a cut causing over half d right and sealed the deal with a stiff jab.
