BKFC 83 Results

For the second time, BKFC lands in Italy — and this time, the stakes couldn’t be higher with four title fights on the line.

In the main event, it’s a clash of gladiators as Chris Camozzi defends his BKFC Cruiserweight Championship against Italian MMA legend Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara. Camozzi (4–1 BKFC) has scored three knockouts in his bare-knuckle career and is coming off his first successful title defense — a unanimous decision win over Andrea Bicchi at BKFC 73, the promotion’s debut event in Italy. Sakara, one of Italy’s most recognized MMA exports, enters on the heels of a second-round knockout in his BKFC debut.

The co-main event features a lightweight title tournament semifinal, as interim champion Ben Bonner meets former champion Franco Tenaglia. Tenaglia captured the vacant world title last October in an instant classic against Tony Soto, winning by majority decision. However, he was later stripped of the belt after withdrawing from the scheduled rematch and competing outside the promotion. Bonner stepped in, notching his third straight victory in a thrilling decision win — and now looks to punch his ticket to the final.

Also on the card, Spain’s Nico Gaffie faces Jelle Zeegers of the Netherlands for the BKFC European Featherweight Title, while Italy’s Francesco Ricchi takes on Josef Hala of the Czech Republic to crown the BKFC European Middleweight Champion.
