BKFC 85 Results, Trout Advances & Ibarrola Strikes Gold
BKFC has returned to its home away from home in South Florida for the final numbered event of 2025.
BKFC 85 emanates from the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Headlining the card is the second meeting between Austin “No Doubt” Trout and Luis “Baboon” Palomino, with a spot in the Lightweight Title Tournament finals on the line. Trout dethroned Palomino for the BKFC Welterweight crown at BKFC 57 in February 2024, putting on a defensive masterclass that never allowed Palomino to settle into the fight.
Trout went on to defend the title twice before vacating it to pursue gold in a familiar weight class—155 lbs., just one pound above the 154 lbs. division where he once reigned as a boxing world champion.
Palomino, a former two-division BKFC champion, relinquished the lightweight belt when he moved up to welterweight. His first fight after that move was the initial showdown with Trout. A year later, he returned to the ring and captured the “King of the Streets” title by defeating fellow 305 resident Howard Davis.
In the co-main event, the top two contenders in the bantamweight division face off for the vacant championship. No. 1–ranked, unbeaten Justin Ibarrola meets No. 2–ranked former title challenger “Royal” Ryan Reber.
Also on the card, the No. 1 heavyweight contender—vicious Cuban knockout artist Leonardo Perdomo—takes on battle-tested combat sports veteran Corey Willis.
