BKFC Ends the Year With an Epic Comeback and a Card Full of Fireworks
BKFC closed out the year in emphatic fashion with a ten-fight card that delivered nonstop action and brutality. Eight of the ten bouts ended without the need for judges’ scorecards, underscoring the violent tone of the night.
In the main event, UFC veteran Parker Porter struck first, dropping Anthony Garrett with a short right hand in the clinch. Garrett responded with a ferocious comeback, scoring three knockdowns of his own in the opening round. Just as momentum seemed to swing decisively, Porter turned the tide in an instant. A straight left landed flush to Garrett’s right eye, leaving him grounded and desperately blinking as the referee’s count reached ten. With the knockout win, Porter improved to 3–0 in BKFC.
Elsewhere on the card, Pat Casey needed just two knockdowns to finish David Sanchez via first-round TKO. Casey controlled foot positioning throughout, attacking the body before climbing upstairs. An overhand right followed by a straight left sent Sanchez down for the second time. Although Sanchez beat the count, the referee had seen enough.
Former UFC fighter Peter Barrett relied on experience, stance switches, and steady volume to edge out the awkward and game Tony Pike via split decision in a closely contested bout.
Gary Balletto III turned in a dominant performance, scoring five knockdowns en route to his second BKFC victory. Three knockdowns came in the opening round from a mix of sharp left combinations, body shots, and a short right hand. Two more knockdowns early in the second forced the referee to step in and mercifully wave it off against Skyler Mauller.
A gritty back-and-forth clinch battle saw Lardy Navarro narrowly defeat Anthony Sanchez by split decision.
Gabrielle Roman snapped a three-fight skid with a first-round TKO of Crystal Van Wyk. Roman’s educated left hand opened a deep cut over Van Wyk’s left eye, leading to a doctor stoppage between rounds.
Rico Disculpo battled through heavy counter hooks from Stash Kuykendall before stunning him with an overhand right. A pair of left hooks followed, sending Kuykendall down for the ten count.
Brazilian MMA veteran Guilherme Viana made a successful BKFC debut, flattening Aleem Whitfield with a perfectly timed left hook in the final second of round two.
A wild opening two minutes saw Joseph Peters knock down David Burke twice, while Burke answered back with his own knockdowns from right hands in the clinch. Peters ultimately sealed the win with a short left hook that split Burke’s lip, resulting in a doctor stoppage between the first and second rounds.
Bare knuckle fighting is known for its gritty and unforgiving nature, but Travis Demko crossed the line. While attempting to separate from the clinch, Demko repeatedly poked Ashton Canigila in the eye, leading to a fourth-round disqualification.
