Lane vs. Pague Set for BKFC 86 Welterweight Title Clash

BKFC has announced they’ll kick off 2026 with a Welterweight title fight in the very same venue where they’ll close out 2025.

On January 17th, the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT will host BKFC 86.

In the main event, Julian “Let Me Bang” Lane makes the first defense of his BKFC Welterweight Championship as he takes on surging contender Dustin “The Disciple” Pague.

Lane captured the vacant title in August, earning his fifth straight victory with a unanimous decision win over former champion Gorjan Slaveski. It’s been a remarkable career revival for Lane, who dropped seven straight fights from 2021–2023. Despite the skid, the Florida native never lost his passion for competition—traveling the globe to stay active and sharpen his craft. Those lessons have paid off, as Lane has rebuilt his game into championship form.

Pague, meanwhile, had a rocky start to his BKFC run, losing his debut by disqualification. But the setback only fueled him. Since then, “The Disciple” has won five of his last six, earning this title opportunity with back-to-back second-round finishes of Andrew Angelcor and Ryan a Petersen in Fight Night main events in the City of Brotherly Love.
