PFL Taking Middleweight Title Fight to Madrid

The PFL is heading to Spain for a Middleweight world title showdown, as champion Costello “The Spaniard” Van Steenis makes the first defense of his belt against Fabian “The Assassin” Edwards in a highly anticipated rematch.

The event takes place March 20th at the Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, Spain.

Van Steenis captured the Middleweight title in July, pulling off a dramatic fifth-round comeback submission over Johnny Eblen to cap a three-fight winning streak.

Edwards will be seeking revenge after dropping a split decision to Van Steenis in their first meeting back in September 2020. He earned his shot at gold with a dominant run through the 2025 PFL Global Tournament, scoring knockout victories over Impa Kasanganay and Dalton Rosta.

The card also features a high-stakes featherweight clash, as former Bellator champion AJ “The Mercenary” McKee squares off with Hungary’s Adam “The Kid” Borics.
