UFC 325 Fight Card Revealed for Sydney Event
Dana White recently revealed the main event of UFC 325, and now the full fight card has been announced.
UFC 325 takes place on Saturday, January 31st in the U.S. — Sunday, February 1st locally — at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Headlining the card is a Featherweight Title showdown between champion Alexander Volkanovski and surging contender Diego Lopes.
The co-main event features a high-stakes Lightweight clash between No. 6 ranked Dan “The Hangman” Hooker and No. 8 ranked Benoît “God of War” Saint Denis.
Hooker is a seasoned veteran and proven action fighter, having competed everywhere from Heavyweight down to Featherweight. At Lightweight, the Kiwi has delivered multiple Fight of the Year contenders and gone toe-to-toe with world champions.
Saint Denis, meanwhile, joined the UFC on short notice and immediately earned respect for his toughness. Once he moved to his proper weight class, the “God of War” ripped off five straight wins. After a pair of setbacks, he made key adjustments and has since rattled off three consecutive stoppages, pushing himself back into the top ten.
Further down the card, No. 9 ranked Rafael Fiziev meets No. 14 ranked Mauricio “Fighting Nerd” Ruffy in a matchup of explosive Lightweight strikers. Fan favorite No. 12 ranked Heavyweight Tai “Bam Bam” Tuivasa returns against heavy-handed Brazilian contender Tallison Teixeira, ranked No. 15.
