BKFC 87 Weigh-Ins: Stewart vs. Gaffie Official for Featherweight Title Clash
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship returns Friday night as BKFC 87 takes place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and all systems are go following Thursday’s official weigh-ins.
In the main event, undefeated featherweight champion Kai Stewart successfully made weight at 144.8 pounds, while challenger Nico Gaffie came in slightly lighter at 144.4 pounds. With both fighters under the 145-pound championship limit, the highly anticipated title bout is now official.
The heavyweight co-main event also cleared without issue, as surging contender Leonardo Perdomo (253.2) faces former UFC veteran Rashad Coulter (256.4). With just over three pounds separating the two, the matchup appears evenly balanced heading into fight night.
Elsewhere on the card, a few notable discrepancies emerged. Bryan Duran (145.2) and Derek Perez (146) both came in above the featherweight limit, suggesting a potential catchweight bout. Meanwhile, the largest gap on the scale saw Jancarlos Rivera (135.8) face Samuel Samples (141.4), a difference that could play a role once the action begins.
Veteran presence is also felt throughout the lineup, with fighters like Sabah Homasi and Donald Sanchez adding experience and depth to the card.
With the weigh-ins complete and no major issues impacting the top bouts, BKFC 87 is set for an action-packed night. The event will be available live on the BKFC app.
