Nowhere to Run XVI Results

The Southwest amateur combat sports scene delivered another action-packed night as Nowhere to Run 16 took over Overtime Bar & Grill with a stacked lineup of Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts. From technical striking displays to highlight-reel finishes, the card showcased the depth of local talent and the intensity of rising prospects.In the Muay Thai main event, Moises Martinez earned a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Casey Moser. Martinez’s physicality proved to be the difference, as he controlled the clinch exchanges and consistently landed sharp combinations of punches and kicks throughout the bout.

Donavan Ponce also secured a unanimous decision win over John Vision, punctuating his performance with heavier strikes, including a spinning back elbow and a hook combination that stood out in the third round. William Mena cruised to a decision victory against Michael Simmons, using fast hands and crisp entries to dictate the pace. Meanwhile, Zane Katzenberger and Arnold Estrada delivered the fight of the night in a thrilling back-and-forth contest, with Katzenberger edging out a split decision in a true barn burner.

On the kickboxing side, Cody Graig impressed with a unanimous decision win over Ian Tso, applying relentless pressure while showcasing sharp in-and-out movement and a powerful right hook and uppercut. Laura Casper leaned on her effective kicking game and superior cardio to earn a decision over Alejandra Parra.

The night’s most electrifying moment came when Issac Hernandez scored a spectacular spinning backfist knockout of Nickolas Baca just 1:16 into the first round, earning knockout of the night honors. Jaime Orbelas added a solid decision win over Damien Lucero, while Ahmo Robinson closed out the event with a third-round standing TKO victory against Kaiden Atkins after overwhelming him with unanswered strikes.

Nowhere to Run 16 proved once again that the amateur circuit continues to be a breeding ground for future stars.
