Third Superfight Added to Rousey vs. Carano as Nate Diaz Meets Mike Perry
The highly anticipated card headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano continues to grow, as a third superfight has now been added to the lineup. Cult favorite Nate Diaz is set to face BKFC’s “King of Violence,” Mike Perry, in a matchup that promises fireworks and star power.
Diaz, fighting out of Stockton, California, has long been one of the sport’s most recognizable figures. The former lightweight title challenger competed for the inaugural BMF title against Jorge Masvidal and has been involved in one of the biggest rivalries in MMA history with Conor McGregor. Known for his relentless pressure, durability, and unapologetic attitude, Diaz has built a reputation as one of the sport’s ultimate fan favorites over the course of his career. This will be his return to MMA almost four years after leaving the UFC.
Across the cage will be Miami’s Perry, whose star has surged in recent years under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championshipbanner. After parting ways with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2021, Perry reinvented himself in bare-knuckle boxing and has since compiled a perfect 6–0 record against fellow MMA veterans.
In 2023, “Platinum” captured the BKFC King of Violence title with a second-round stoppage of former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. He later defended the belt in emphatic fashion, scoring a fifth-round knockout over Jeremy Stephens in October.
Both Diaz and Perry are also familiar faces under the Most Valuable Promotions umbrella after previously sharing the spotlight with Jake Paul in separate high-profile boxing matches.
With the addition of Diaz vs. Perry alongside the blockbuster Rousey vs. Carano main event, MVP’s debut MMA event is quickly loading up with compelling names recognizable to fight fans around the world. The promotion appears determined to make an immediate impact in the MMA landscape, building a card that blends nostalgia, star power, and proven action fighters. All three fights have been announced for five, five-minute rounds.
