RFA 44 Features Moises vs Freeman & Urso vs Porter
St. Charles’s own Zach “The Altar Boy” Freeman (8-1) will be in the main event of RFA 44, challenging Thiago Moises for the RFA Lightweight title.
Freeman is coming off a 1st round submission of Zac Kelly, his 5th career submission victory. Moises is 3-0 in RFA, with submissions of Javon Wright and David Castillo, and coming off a 5th round TKO of Jamall Emmers.
The co-main event will be in the Flyweight division with JacksonWink fighter Nick Urso (8-2) against Ken “The Sensation” Porter (9-2). Urso is coming off a February no contest with Jordan Espinosa, in a fight that Urso was winning before he landed a accidental blow to the back of the head that Espinosa couldn’t recover from. Urso has 5 stoppage wins with 3 via submission. Porter is on a 5 fight win streak, with 3 submission victories, coming off a unanimous decision win over former RFA champion Matt Manzanares, from last August.
In a second Flyweight bout on the main card, UFC vet Josh “The Gremlin” Sampo (11-5) looks to end a 3 fight skid, when he faces Kevin “Pocket Herc” Gary, who’s won 2 of his last 3. Both men has only won via decision and submission, with Sampo having 6 finishes and Gary 4.
RFA 44 is September 30th at the St, Charles Convention Center, in St. Charles, Missouri.
