DCCW Birthday Bash delivers a Happy new Champion

Blow out the candles, sing Happy Birthday to DCCW and a jolly good fellow to Mr. Happy.

Mr. Happy out lasted the Duke Coty Championship roster in an over the top rope battle royal to become the first ever Route 66 Champion. It came down to Valak Vile and Mr. Happy. Vile thought Happy was over the ropes and done four but Happy landed on apron. Mr. Happy spilling Vile to the floor and silly stringing his name into the history books.

The victory also secured Happy to be the tag team partner of Hobo Hank in the main event against Charlie 50 & DCCw heavyweight champion Thunder.

The first fire of the night didn’t come from a match but from Eliza Haze & Angelic Risk setting the house on fire in a two out of three falls match. Haze showed no mercy taking advantage of Risk suffering a knee injury leading to the first fall. The Nightmare Women’s Championship wasn’t going anywhere. A small package from risk evened the score. The final fall coming  from a 505 as Risk called it but many of you know it as the 619.

A picture perfect frog splash from Chris Watson soiled the return of El Diablo Blanco and overcame the fact interference of Veronica Vega. The only competitor willing to step up to the open challenge for mayhem from Chuey Martinez was Mickie Knuckles. The plunder of choice objects from Duke City Toys. Plastic swords,  plushies, light sabers, and superhero shields all got used. In the end Martinez used his weight advantage and collected the win with a schoolboy roll up.

The 1st ever Fast MVD 5 minute match between Tyler Copeland & Turbo Tony ended in a time limit draw. The bell sounds as Copeland has Tony locked up in bridged crossface.  A man can only take so much before hitting his breaking point. The antics of Plexx & Sizzle pushed Tommy Test to an over the edge. Unfortunately the very necessary chair shot was monitored by the ref giving Plexx the dub.

A double dose of magic wond helped Valak Vile steal one from Enrique Del Gato. The DCCW cake cutting celebration was interrupted by the St. Louis pyscho Tyler Copeland. Turbo Tony giving Copeland all the cake he can handle with a body slam through the baked artistry.

When the candles go out the the light is taken from the room. When the final candle got blown out on the “Birthday Bash” someone’s wish came true. For the first time since win the DCCW Heavyweight Championship Thunder was pinned. Hobo Hank getting the victory. A  message sent to the champion that his old friend isn’t to be taken lightly.

Duke city championship Wrestling blew back at the historic Alray theater on Friday, June 28 for “Summer Sizzle”.
