
2024 PFL 6 Preview
It’s the final week of regular season action for the 2024 PFL. While most of the brackets are set for the playoffs there is still finalizing that needs to be taken care of at Welterweight & Featherweight.
Heading into 2024 PFL 6 finishes will be at a premium if any hope to upset the applecart. The top two seeds in the Welterweight division Don Madge & Murad Ramazanov both collected first round finishes in the first fights of the season. Shamil Muaev is in third with five points and Magomed Umalatov is the four seed with four points the same as Goiti Yamauchi who is in the five slot just outside the playoffs. Everyone one else is sitting at zero except for Laueano Staopoli who is at -1 after missing weight for his first fight and losing it.
Former Bellator interim Welterweight champion, power wrestler Logan Storley has no points as he heads into facing Moldovan, submission specialist Luca Poclit, who makes his promotional debut. UFC vet Lorenz Larkin, a knockout artist with razor sharp elbows faces former Lux champion Alan Dominguez. Unbeaten Russian’s collide as Murad Ramazanov takes on Shamiil Muaev. Goiti Yamauchi has went from grappling phenom to all around threat the opposite journey his opponent, former Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov went on going from spinning back kicks to double legs. The man sitting in the top slot South Africa’s Don Madge will face of the best submission artists to fight in Bellator Neiman Graice.
At Featherweight there’s a bit more room for movement. The number one seed Brendan Loughane & number two Gabriel Braga have six points. The three and four seeds Timur Khiziriev & Adam Borics have three points just like Kai Kamaka. Unbeaten Russian Timur Khizriev is going to clash with Peruvian grappler Enrique Barzola.
The well-rounded 2022 PFL Featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane will be in the main event against Justin Gonzales, a wrestler who emphasizes pushing a high pace. Heavy handed Brazilian Gabriel Braga is matched with PFL staple, tenacious wrestler Bubba Jenkins. Slick Hawaiian Boxer Kai Kamaka III meets Portugals’ Pedro Carvalho who fights out of Ireland. Plus, American wrestler Tyler Diamond battles Welsh Judo expert Brett Johns.
