The global expansion continues BKFC 67 is set for October 12th in Marbella, Spain. In the main event 6-0 Tony “Loco” Soto battles 3-1 Franco Tenaglia.

The newly announced co-main event will see Austin “No Doubt” Trout make his first defense of his BKFC Welterweight Championship against the challenge of number three ranked contender, Rico Franco.

This is quite the surprise as Trout had been linked to rumors of a rematch with Luis Palomino in his home town of Las Cruces. After all Trout went to south Florida for BKFC 57, talking the 165lbs. Title from the former pound for pound top ranked fighter in the sport by a one-sided  decision. A follow up performance to the former Boxing world champions victory at Knucklemania III over UFC legend Diego Sanchez. “No Doubt” Trout has provided many obstacles for his opponents including being nearly untouchable after two fight in the promotion.

Franco is an Englishman boosting a 9-2 record in Bare Knuckle including being 3-0 in BKFC. A former champion under the BKB banner, Franco has recorded 7 wins by knockout and put away his first two BLFC opponents in the second round. We’ll have to see if rust plays a factor as Franco has been sitting idle since a fifth round knockout of Kaleb Harris last July.
