
BKFC to Crown New Cruiserweight Champion in October
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is returning to the Mile High City for the crowning of a new champion this fall.
When Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt attempted greatness moving up to challenge for the BKFC Heavyweight Championship, which would have made him a three-division champion, Hunt agreed to vacate the Light-Heavyweight & Cruiserweight titles as to not logjam those divisions.
October 12th in Denver Colorado Chris Camozzi & Sawyer Dupree will battle for the vacant 205 lbs. Cruiserweight Title.
The number three ranked Chris Camozzi provided powerful destruction in his first two bouts in the circle stopping MMA vets Bubba McDaniel & Dan Spohn in the first round. At BKFC 50 Camozzi pushed the two-division campion Lorenzo Hunt to the scorecards, losing by split decision.
Depee the divisions number four ranked contender is on a three-fight win streak. “Diesel” wins over Gabriel Mota & Jonathan Miller impressed the BKFC brass into his first main event this past May. A fight like the previous two that didn’t get out of the first round. Depee’s domination of Keegan Vandermeer in the main event of the promotions last trip to Bronco Country earned him this chance.
