In the main event former UFC Flyweight champion Brandon Moreno faces rising contender Amir Albazi. This will be the 8th five-round title fight or main event that the number two ranked Moreno has been scheduled for. The number three ranked Albazi is on a six-fight win streak including five straight wins to start his UFC career. Mexico’s Moreno is returning to action after taking short hiatus to digest consecutive spilt decision losses. Iraq’s Albazi coming in off his first UFC main event win, a split decision over Kai Kara France.
Top ranked contenders in the Women’s side of the Flyweight division meet in the co-main event former number three ranked Eric Blanchfield battles number five ranked Rose Namajunas. After a rough introduction to the division Namaunas has rebounded well. The former Women’s Strawweight champion has picked up a pair of decision wins over oncoming contenders. Blanchfield is a 25-year-old prospect who’s been within an eyelash of a title shot. The New Jersey native has a resume that includes wins over former champion Jessica Andrade & title challenger Talia Santos.
