UFC 312 Results
The UFC has traveled to the land down under with a championship double header for UFC 312.
The main event is a rematch for the UFC Middleweight Championship where American Sean Strickland looks to regain the title from the man who took it from him last January in a high contested split decision, South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis. Since their first meeting Du Plessis has cemented himself as champion by submitting former champion Israel Adesanya for his first successful defense. Strickland reestablished his spot as top contender with a decision win over former title challenger Paulo Costa.
The UFC Women’s Strawweight championship is on the line the co-main event as China’s Zhang Weili defends against American Tatiana Suarez. Weili will be looking for her third defense of her second championship reign. In here lone fight of 2024 Weili dominates Xiaonan Yan for five rounds. Suarez is an Olympic level wrestler who’s last two wins over Montan De La Rosa & former champion Jessica Andrade both came by guillotine choke.
