Two titles change Hands at DCCW Hard Reset
Hard Reset leaves a cloud of terror looming over Duke City Championship Wrestling.
Hobo Hank’s ten-month reign as DCCW Heavyweight Champion came to an unceremonious end. After months of Sale Taylor being a thorn in Hank’s side, their one-on-one clash finally reached a boiling point. Just as Hank began gaining the upper hand, Chelsea’s interference shifted the momentum. Her presence on the apron brought out DCCW owner Fred Slow, who attempted to restore order. But with referee Kyle distracted, Ronin stormed in, attacking Hank and laying out Slow.
Then, Bryan Idol arrived and smashed the championship belt into Hank’s face, giving Sale the opening to roll over and score the pin. The title has changed hands — and with it, the balance of power.
The new and only third-ever DCCW Heavyweight Champion: the leader of 4Sale, Sale Taylor.
In tag team action, the upstart duo of Enrique Calderon & Thunder pushed the DCCW Chile Tag Team Champions, Pretty City Express, to the brink. Despite their inexperience, Calderon and Thunder showcased major potential. Ultimately, the experience of Reno and Clas won out, as they isolated Enrique and finished him with a neckbreaker-clothesline combo.
After the bell, Pretty City Express looked to send an extra message—until former champion Turbotest hit the ring and cleared house, reminding everyone that they are still in the hunt.
Former NXT star Javi made an impressive DCCW debut, outwrestling and outsmarting the scoundrel Ricky Rebel. Javi sealed the victory with a devastating package fisherman buster.
An injury sidelined Jayden Monroe, who found his own last-minute replacement: a mysterious masked luchador known as The Vanilla Gorilla, whose suspiciously familiar build raised a few eyebrows. Despite the mask, his power-based style clashed poorly with the technical skill of Tommy Test. In the end, the Vanilla Gorilla simply couldn’t pass the Test, and Tommy had his hand raised.
The Idol’s reign over Route 66 came to a bittersweet end. With referee Francisco momentarily down from an accidental collision, Bryan Idol went low on Manny Lemons. Still unable to secure the win, Idol grabbed the belt—but the ref recovered just in time to stop him. Manny capitalized with the Lemon Drop, scoring the win and becoming the new Route 66 Champion.
Hometown favorite Lonzo Romero pulled off a shocking upset in his DCCW debut. The Lowrider withstood a flurry of offense from Turbo Tony, including relentless chain combinations. But when Romero dodged a swanton bomb, he capitalized with a three-move burst capped by a Samoan Drop, cruising into the winner’s circle.
Zamaya successfully retained the Enchanted Title, pinning Fallen Grey in a triple threat match.
For the first time ever, the MVD All Fast Match was held under gauntlet rules. Towering over the competition, Johnny Magna bulldozed through Sancho Martinez, Dirty Dan, and Zalal Vile in dominating fashion.
