PFL Champions Series 2: Nurmagomedov vs. Hughes 2 Results

The PFL Lightweight World Championship is on the line in the biggest rematch in the promotion’s history.

In a follow up to an instant classic Dagestan’s Usman Nurmagomedov once again defends against Irelands Paul “Big News” Hughes. The unbeaten Nurmagomedov had easily ran through his competition from Russia to Bellator to PFL, that was until Hughes pushed his further than anyone ever has. Usman is expected to be the next all-time great to come out of his camp following in the footsteps of his cousin Khabib Nurmagomedov and teammate Islam Makhachev. A loss to Hughes would be a major setback in those plans. The former Cage Warrior’s Featherweight champion has been shocking the world since defeating top contender AJ McKee Jr. in his PFL debut.

A PFL Light Heavyweight World Champion will be crowned in the co-main event when former Bellator champion Corey Anderson faces 2024 PFL Global Tournament champion. Anderson is a wrestler with smooth boxing who weaponizes his cardio and has won three in a row.  The product of Turkmenistan is known for his hands with 14 wins by knockout and is currently on a seven-fight win streak.
