Darren Till Joins BKFC, Targets Explosive Debut in Birmingham
Darren Till is officially headed to Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, signing a multi-fight deal with the promotion as he looks to carve out a new chapter in his combat sports career. The 33-year-old Liverpool native is scheduled to make his debut at BKFC 90 on May 30 at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, competing at 185 pounds against an opponent yet to be announced.
Till built his name in mixed martial arts, where he compiled an 18-5-1 record and rose to the top of the welterweight division. His biggest moment came in 2018 when he challenged Tyron Woodley for the UFC Welterweight title, showcasing his striking ability and star power on one of the sport’s biggest stages. Though his MMA run had its ups and downs, Till remained a recognizable and marketable figure due to his aggressive style and personality.
In recent years, Till has found renewed momentum in the boxing world, competing under the Misfits banner. He has put together a string of victories, including notable knockout wins over Anthony Taylor and former UFC champion Luke Rockhold. Those performances have reinforced his reputation as a dangerous striker and helped rebuild his confidence heading into this next move.
His signing immediately adds intrigue to the BKFC Light Heavyweight division. Known for its raw, high-action style, bare-knuckle fighting could suit Till’s forward pressure and heavy hands. The promotion has been aggressively adding recognizable names, and Till’s arrival continues that trend.
The announcement also fuels speculation about potential future matchups. One of the most talked-about possibilities had been a clash with Mike Perry, though those plans appear to have shifted following Perry’s decision to face Nate Diaz on a separate card.
With his debut now set, all eyes will be on how Till adapts to the unique demands of bare-knuckle competition.
BKFC-90 will be headlined by a previously announced, bout for the BKFC Interim Welterweight Title between cross-country rivals, Connor ‘Brum Town Bomber’ Tierney, (9-2), and Rico ‘Bon Bon’ Franco, (10-3)
