Power Slap Heads to Serbia with Historic Championship Doubleheader

The event, titled $VET Power Slap 22: Szabo vs. Montes, presented by Monster Energy, will take place inside the Belgrade Arena and feature two championship fights along with a lineup loaded with international talent.

The main event will crown the inaugural women’s featherweight champion, marking another milestone moment for the growing organization. Hungary’s Franciska Szabo, better known to many fans as “Sheena Bathory,” enters the title fight unbeaten at 5-0 with two knockouts. Standing across from her will be undefeated Mexican contender Abby Montes, who burst onto the scene with a one-slap knockout victory in her promotional debut at Power Slap 13. Montes carries a 2-0 record with one knockout and has quickly developed a reputation as one of the division’s most dangerous rising names. The matchup pits experience against momentum in what could become one of the defining moments in the promotion’s expansion overseas.

The co-main event brings championship stakes back to the heavyweight division as reigning champion Damien Dibbelldefends his title against Dorian Perez in a rematch years in the making.

Known as “The Bell,” Dibbell has remained unbeaten throughout his Power Slap career, compiling a 7-0 record with five knockouts since capturing heavyweight gold in May 2023. His first meeting with Perez at Power Slap 10 delivered one of the division’s most memorable battles, and now Perez gets another shot at ending the champion’s lengthy reign. The former All-State football player enters the rematch with an 8-2-1 record and hopes to finally dethrone one of the organization’s most dominant champions.

Beyond the title fights, the Belgrade card is expected to showcase a broad mix of European and international stars. Former super heavyweight champion Vasilii Kamotskii, widely recognized by fans as “Dumpling,” is scheduled to appear alongside Slovakia’s hard-hitting Peter Truchlik and fellow Slovakian striker Pavol Horelican, both of whom earned attention for recent knockout performances.

The event represents a major step in Power Slap’s global growth strategy. Fighters from more than 10 countries are expected to compete, with several athletes performing in front of hometown or regional crowds for the first time. With championship fights, undefeated contenders, and the promotion’s European debut all converging on one card, Belgrade could become one of the most important stops yet in Power Slap’s continued expansion.
