BKFC Heads to Historic Fenway Park for Massachusetts Debut as Kai Stewart Defends Featherweight Crown
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is set to make history this summer as the promotion brings its first-ever sanctioned bare-knuckle event to Massachusetts. BKFC 92 will take place on August 29 at the iconic Fenway Park in Boston, with the action unfolding directly on the field of one of America’s most famous sports venues.
The historic card will be headlined by undefeated BKFC Featherweight World Champion Kai “King” Stewart defending his title against New England fan favorite Harry “The Hitman” Gigliotti.
For Stewart, the bout represents another chapter in what has become one of the most dominant championship reigns in BKFC history. The 26-year-old Montana native enters the contest with a perfect 9-0 record and will attempt to make a record-setting sixth defense of the featherweight championship. Across his title reign, Stewart has defeated a string of elite challengers including Tommy Strydom, Jimmy Rivera, Bryan Duran, and Howard Davis.
Most recently, Stewart turned away previously undefeated European champion Nico Gaffie in March, further cementing his place among the promotion’s pound-for-pound elite.
While Stewart brings championship pedigree to Fenway Park, Gigliotti arrives with the momentum and support of a hometown star. The Haverhill, Massachusetts native has quickly emerged as one of the region’s most popular combat sports athletes, carrying an undefeated 6-0 bare-knuckle record with five knockouts into the championship opportunity.
After compiling a 9-5 professional boxing record, Gigliotti transitioned to bare-knuckle competition in late 2023 and has not looked back. His BKFC debut in March was a statement performance, stopping veteran Timothy Mason in the second round before a passionate crowd at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The event marks another milestone for Fenway Park, which continues to expand its portfolio of major sporting and entertainment events beyond baseball.
“We are excited to welcome Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship to Fenway Park for its Massachusetts debut,” said Brett Miller, Senior Director of Special Events for Evergreen Fenway Events. “Fenway Park has a long history of hosting unique sporting and entertainment events, and this event adds another chapter to that tradition. We look forward to welcoming fans for what will be a truly electric night at the ballpark.”
BKFC Founder and President David Feldman believes the championship matchup will provide one of the biggest tests of Stewart’s career despite the champion’s lengthy list of accomplishments.
“We’re beyond excited to announce this unprecedented event at Fenway Park on Saturday, August 29,” Feldman said. “Kai Stewart is one of the most talented bare-knuckle fighters in the world. His reign as our featherweight world champion is truly exceptional, defeating top-rated contenders anywhere in the world.”
Feldman also highlighted the unique challenge awaiting the champion in hostile territory.
“However, fighting at Fenway Park against a Boston sports superstar in Harry Gigliotti, who is also on a tremendous roll over the last three years, is the toughest challenge of Stewart’s career.”
With an undefeated champion, a surging hometown contender, and the backdrop of one of sports’ most legendary venues, BKFC 92 is shaping up as one of the most anticipated events on the promotion’s 2026 calendar and a landmark moment for combat sports in Massachusetts.
