Perdomo vs. Garrett Headlines BKFC 93 at Seminole Hard Rock
On September 11, BKFC returns to its home away from home with a heavyweight showdown atop the marquee at BKFC 93.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, will host the event, with No. 1-ranked heavyweight contender Leonardo Perdomo taking on Anthony “Warrior of Christ” Garrett in the night’s main event.
Perdomo has carved a path of destruction through the BKFC heavyweight division. The Cuban knockout artist enters the bout with a perfect 11-0 bare-knuckle record, with an astonishing 10 of those victories coming by first-round knockout.
Like many fighters before him, Garrett transitioned to bare-knuckle competition after a 15-fight mixed martial arts career that included appearances in Bellator and LFA. The Kansas City native made an immediate impact, winning his first three BKFC bouts by first-round knockout, with his first two victories coming in a combined 28 seconds.
This is easily the biggest opportunity of Garrett’s career, as a victory would catapult him to the top of the heavyweight division and put him firmly in line for a world title shot.
For Perdomo, it’s another opportunity to reinforce the dominance he’s displayed throughout his climb up the heavyweight rankings. Another emphatic victory would only fuel the growing roar from fans demanding to see “El Zambo” compete for the BKFC Heavyweight World Championship.
