Tim Means to Tangle with Matt Brown at UFC 189
At home in his new weight class and on a 4 fight win streak Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means (24-6-1) is now set to take on number 5 ranked UFC Welterweight Matt “The Immortal” Brown (19-13) at UFC 189.
It was originally announced that Brown would meet Nate Diaz at UFC 189, but Diaz failed to sign and return the contract.
Not to long ago I spoke with Tim Means and he told me the difference between fighting at Lightweight and Welterweight is his ability to pick up short notice fights.
Means is coming off submitting George Sullivan at UFC on Fox 15, which is Means 2nd win in 7 weeks, after having knocked out Dhiego Lima at UFC 184. Means loves to stay active and has won 4 fights in a 9 month span.
This fight will be determined by pass, volume, and should be fun for all to see.
UFC 189 is on July 11th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by Connor McGregor challenging Jose Aldo for the UFC Featherweight World Title.
