Campuzano on short notice meets Pettis at UFC 167

Replacing an injured Vaughn Lee against against promotional newcomer an former RFA Flyweight champion Sergio “The Phenom” Pettis (9-0) will be former Legacy FC Flyweight champion Will Campuzano (13-4) in a Bantamweight bout.

Campuzano since consecutive losses to Nick Pace and Chris Cariaso in the UFC, out side of the UFC has won 5 fights in row; including most recently defeating Hideo Tokoro by split decision.

Sergio the little brother of UFC Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis has 6 of 9 wins by stoppage, split evenly with 3 (T)KO and 3 submissions. “The Phenom” has 5 win in the first round including most recently submitting James Porter with a Kimura.

UFC 167 take place on November 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena; and is headlined by Johnny Hendricks challenging Georges St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title.
