Days ago is was announced that Russell Doane (14-5) would be meeting Michinori Tanaka (10-1) at UFC 195. Things have changed now as UFC.com has Tanaka matched up with former Bellator champion Joe Soto (15-4) for the event.
Japans Tanaka will be looking to rebound from a split decision loss to Kyung Ho Kang. While California’s Soto will be looking to end a 2 fight skid, having suffered back to back knock out losses to TJ Dillashaw and Anthony Birchak.
The newest addition to UFC 195 will see Lightweights Abel Trujillo (12-7) & Tony Sims (12-3) do battle. Trujillo is 2-2 in his last 4 and will be looking to rebound from consecutive submission losses to Tony Ferguson and Gleison Tibau. Sims head into the bout looking to bounce back from decision loss to Olivier Aubin-Mercier, that ended a 4 fight win streak of knock out.
UFC 195 is on January 2nd, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by Carlos Condit challenging Robbie Lawler for the UFC Welterweight World Championship.
