Legacy Boxing Presents Expo Explosion A Double Main Event April 1
Legacy Promotions said that wanted to do things big. I had been told that they planned on throwing a huge event for April 1st. And with the talent they have assemble for, what right now stands at a 9-fight, double main event card, that may finalize 3 more bouts, huge, is an accurate description.
In one main event “The Atrisco Kid” Fidel Maldonado of Atrisco Boxing squares of with Mohamed Rodriguez of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Maldonado had been scheduled to meet Antonio Orozco in December, but the bout was caneled, when Orozco fainted prior to the weigh-in’s. Maldonado last fought in July scoring a 3rd round TKO of Gerardo Cuevas. Rodriguez has won 5 of his last 6 and is coming in off consecutive decision wins over Eduardo de la Torre and Alexis del Bosque.
The other part of the double main event will see Team Pitbulls, Josh “Pitbull” Torres against Corpus Christi, Texas’s, David Charles. Torres comes in looking to rebound from back to back majority decision losses to Mike Alvardao and Jose Marrufo. In a similar spot Charles has also lost his last 2, to Arnold Barboza (ud) and Kendo Castaneda (tko).
The card dose have the possibility of turning into a triple main event , but at this time undefeated Jason Sanchez is still awaiting the conclusion of a opponent search. The card right now has 9 official fights, but could grow to 12 or more.
