Legacy Boxing Promotions Expo Explosion II features Pitbull vs. Rodriguez

Legacy Promotions will be back at the Manuel Lujan Building presenting Expo Explosion. This week via social media the promotion announced the co & main events for the December 1st event.

Josh “Pitbull” Torres (18-6-2,10 Kos) is atop the marquee squaring off with Mohamed Rodriguez (11-5-1, 4 Kos) a San Luis Potosi, Mexico, born, Texas trained pugilist. Torres has won 3 in a row all by TKO, coming off winning a New Mexico State Title with a 7th round finish of Cristian Cabral at Route to Glory 2, back in June. Since a unanimous decision loss to Fidel Maldonado Jr. at the first Expo Explosion, Rodriguez has went unbeaten in his last 3. Knocking out Manuel Mendez, taking a decision win over Cesar Villarraga, & fighting previously undefeated Kent Cruz to a draw. At this point Torres is a handful for anyone having taken huge strides in his last couple fights. The aggression, the fluidity, and his craftiness have all went to another level. Since the last time we saw Rodriguez he’s obviously improved and will need the be on his A game to full off the upset.

The co-main event will see Joe Gomez Martinez (21-7-1, 10 Kos) taking on Arturo “El Toro” Crespin (13-8-1, 4 Kos). “GJM” is on a 3 fight win streak coming off a March TKO of Corey Alarcon, which was his first fight in 34 months. Crespin will be fighting for the first time in 26 months, looking to end a 2 fight skid. “JGM” will have the reach advantage, which is normal for Crespin who’ll look to get on the inside and make the fight a brawl.

Tickets go on sale this Monday November 5th. We’ll provide more details on the event as they become available. Also keep in mind the card is subject to change.
