Matthew Griego fighting for NABA Flyweight title August 5th
The second event from Wrecking Crew Promotions will be Hecho en Nuevo Mexico Fight Night Announced for August 5th.
The promotion announced the news today, holding a press conference at Cocina Azul to inform the public. The main event will be a ten-round NABA Flyweight title fight as unbeaten Mathew “Diamnod Boy” Griego squares off with former Strawweight world champion Merlito Sabello. Greigo will be stepping up to take on the most experienced challenge of his career. Sabello is a hard hitter coming in with 13 of his 27 wins by knockout. The native of the Philippines has five wins in title fights by knockout.
Hecho En Nuevo Mexico is August 5th at Villa Hispano at the Expo New Mexico Fair Grounds.
The cards other announced fights will see Albuquerque’s Lorenzo “The Bombita” Benavidez against San Elisario, Texas’s Gabriel Rodriguez. In a all Burque battle Power & Glory’s Jose Vilpando will welcome the Manuel Anya trained Quentin Deleon to the pro ranks. And in battle between pro debuters Grisley Boxing’s Isaiah Aguilar will take on fellow Duke City fighter Isaiah Abeyta.
Currently the rest of the card is under construction as opponent searches are underway for Matthew Baca, Amber Brown, Katherine Renee Lindenmuth, Steven Trujeque, Justice Jiron, & Andres Rey.
