BKFC TITLE ON THE LINE IN THE MILE HIGH

BKFC 50 was live in Denver Colorado this time a championship title was on the line in the mile high, Double Champ Lorenzo Hunt making his highly anticipated return after a spectacular fight at knucklemania three. He was  taking on 50 fight  Combat Sports Veteran Chris Camozzi who was definitely up for the fight. The undercard featured a series of Colorado prospects and also some very great undefeated prospects. The 1st bank center was sold out and once again BKFC left and made a huge statement.By Gabriel Padilla

Main Card

            Cruiserweight Title: (champ) Lorenzo Hunt (11-1) vs. Chris Camozzi (2-1) 

Both Hunt and Camozzi were very evenly matched and the first part of the fight was close with both fighters trying to stay on the outside. Hunt seemed to have the speed advantage and was walking Camozzi down eventually closing the distance making it a close phone booth fight. We saw the judges score cards in a barnburner they saw it in favor of Lorenzo Hunt and he retains his world title.

            Heavyweight: Josh Copeland (2-1) vs. Steve Herelius (1-1)

Josh Copeland made the crowd roar as he landed a left hook in the third round dropping Herelius. Herelius was unable to answer the 10 count and the referee stepped in. Copleand had a huge night in his hometown State.

            Middleweight: Marcus Edwards (2-0) vs. Michael Manno (1-1)

Marcus Edwards was successful early on and Manno weathered the storm.We saw both fighters slow down in later rounds it was Edwards with his damaging left hand that made the difference. It went the full five rounds and the judges saw it in favor for Marcus Edwards.

            Light-Heavyweight: Keegan Vandermeer (2-0) vs. Dillion WineMIller (2-2)

Keegan Vandermeer in round one connected with a beautiful left hook to the chin of Winemiller that dropped him. Winemiller never answered the count and the referee had no choice but to stop the fight.

            Lightweight: Brett Hudson (0-1) vs. Andrew Angelco (3-0-1)

Andrew Angelco made short work of his opponent in Brett Hudson causing early damage in round one the doctor/referee had to call a stop to the bout,  Angelco will stay undefeated and still have a bright future in BKFC.

            Middleweight: Brian Maronek (0-1) vs. Tony Jenkins (3-0)

Tony Jenkins came out and was able to land and inside uppercut initially hurting Tony Jenkins after he smelt blood like a shark he kept the pressure and landed a series of devastating shots making the referee step in to call a stop to the bareknuckle bout at 1:18 in round one earning a tko victory and staying undeafeated in BKFC.

            Lightweight: Andrew Yates (2-0) vs. Christian Torres (2-5)

Andrew Yates implemented pressure and fought on the inside with a relentless pace Torres never backed down and was up for the challenge throwing whatever he could to stay in the fight. Surprisingly we saw the distance and the judges saw it in favor of Andrew Yates.

            Flyweight: Andrew Strode (1-0) vs. Cary Caprio (1-1)  

Andrew Strode made a huge statement in his debut with a round two tko. The left hook of Strode was the path for him that really put Caprio down and he was never able to recover.

            Women’s Bantamweight: Khortini Kamyron (1-1-1) vs. Monica Franco (1-0)   

Monica Franco and Khortni Kamyron both came out very technical and both had great moments. It went the distance and we saw the scorecards Franco was able to edge out a razor thin split decision in the judges eyes and was successful in her debut.

Prelims

            Flyweight: Angelo Trujillo (0-1) vs. Dominick Carey (1-0)  

In round one Angelo Trujillo came out throwing heavy overhands that stunned and hurt Carey he fell to a knee and Trujillo kept throwing shots. Unfortunately, he was disqualified for hitting a downed opponent and Dominck Carey took home the win by disqualification.

            Light-Heavyweight: Lamont Stafford (1-0) vs. Gabriel Mota (1-2)

Lamont Stafford and Gabriel Mota both came forward with pressure and traded big shots but Staffords reach and height was just to much for Mota. Stafford was able to  connect with a right hand that dropped Mota. Mota was able to stand back up but was shaky, the referee has seen enough to stop  the fight. A successful BKFC debut for Lamont Stafford.

            Middleweightt: Jessie Stalder (0-1) vs. Zeb Vincent (1-1)  

In round one Zeb Vincent earns a vicious victory by way of Uppercut, Stalder fell to a knee and could not answer the count 59 seconds into round number one.
