DCCW Results, Thunder Strikes Gold

Duke City Championship Wrestling promised a historical night and it was definitely something we had never seen before. A first ever DCCW Heavyweight champion was crown but not one you expected.

As the DCCW championship hung above the ring Turbo Tony took his aggression to a ruthless level as repeatedly utilizing the ladder as a weapon against Hobo Hank. Just as Hobo Hank battle back to take the upper hand Phoenix & Tyler Copeland would hit the ring and leave their mark. The energy given from the jammed pack El Rey Theater would charge Hank enough to  hit a tornado DDT off the ladder. Veronica Vega was next to insert herself into the match receiving an alley underarm for her trouble.  Justice Hobo hank had the championship with and his grass inner rival Charlie 50 and former ally thunder would hit the ring and then a shocking turn of events team up to send Hank off the ladder and through a pair of wood boards, connecting the ring apron to the guard rail. With a free pass to the title turbo Tony we may get halfway up the ladder before being wrapped up by thunder and sent back towards the ground from a massive belly to back suplex. Seizing the title opportunity Thunder ascended up the ladder, retrieving the Duke city championship wrestling heavyweight title. A video would play from Mathew Roblez explaining every competitor in DCCW was eligible to climb the ladder. This is a very messy end to a lengthy friendship and the first spark of what could become an inferno of a rivalry.

In the wrong hand magic can be very dangerous when not used for good. It was a good thing for Happy the Clown that he avoid the Valak Vile’s spell but the same could be said for Jerry Vandetta. Left vulnerable from his partners misfire Vandetta an unable to avoid a not so happy ending that the crowd enjoyed. The high energy effort of Tommy Test can push many past their breaking point. Tyler Copeland is now stranger to a short cut but getting disqualified after going low and hitting Tommy’s “Two Scoops” leaves us with a situation that is far from resolved.

The scored is nodded up at one now and we need a rubber match after Valentino Loca upset Eliza Haze. The high flying duo of Chris Watson & Sid the Kid overcame brutal brawlers Phoenix & El Diablo Blanco after Watson hit a picture perfect splash heavens.

In a classic David versus Goliath match up the agility and quick thinking of Sean Loa overcame the size and power of Chuey. Charlie 50 secured a pin fall victory over Mosh Pit Mike putting a sour note on a night the 505 street fighter had dedicated to his mom.The night opened with Thunder Landon’s frog splash on to Fonzi who was pinning Emilio Guzman dealing Thunder pinning them both.
