At BKFC 56 the featherweight world title will be on the line as Kai Stewart makes his first defense against Howard Davis. The promotions had originally targeted Dat Nguyen Kia, but it’s not much of a surprise that the course was changed in this direction after a public incident at BKFC 50. Kai won the title in June and coming from a wrestling background it’s felt like forever since he’s been able to compete, giving him time to work on his craft. A fascination with competition has lead Kai away from med school and towards the goal of being the perfect fight, plus he fells like this is good business.
