Starling vs Savage Among New Additions to BKFC Prospect Series Card in ABQ
A long awaited battle between a pair of fan favorites tops the announcement of three new matches made for the promotions first event of the year.
Former title challengers Taylor “Killer Bee” Starling & Jenny Savage have made their desires to punch each other in the face clear. The two are well equated after having battled in MMA in 2019. A fight that Savage won by third round TKO.
A 3-0 to her BKFC career earned Starling headlining honors across from BKFC Women’s Flyweight champion Christine Ferea at BKFC 28, the promotion first trip to the Land of Enchantment. The 27-year-old has decided to give the division south a 10 lbs. a try.
Savage has collected two of her three wins by knockout. The 30-year-old is on a mission for a third battle with current BKFC Women’s Strawweight champion Britain Hart. And both ladies share the hope of being more active then only competing one time like each did in 2023.
The first BKFC card of the year will be in association with Teresa Tapia’s LIGA MVL. Saturday, January 27th Revel Entertainment Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico will lay host to the BKFC Prospect Series 3.
In Light-Heavyweight action a pair of old school fighters will collide as former KOTC champion “Wild Bill” William Albrecht battles Bellator vet Freddy Sandoval, head coach at Sandoval Fight Systems. Albrecht has 23 wins on his mma record with 19 by submission. This will be Albrecht’s first fight in over six years. Sandoval has a hundred percent finishing rate and has been very active across combat sports over the last three years after a decade away from competition.
Also returning to action for the first time in a decade, Felipe “Flip” Chavez will toe the line against Michael Manno who’s split his two appearances in the circle.
