DCCW Spring Slam, Thunder defends Twice & A New Title has been Introduced
Duke City Championship Wrestling is still under the advisory of a Thunderstorm but the landscape is quickly evolving.
Albuquerque rugby star Johnny Manga made his introduction to the DCCW faithful and announced he was transitioning sports. DCCW Heavyweight champion Thunder flanked by Sale & Matthew Roblez interrupted. And as they say an offer was made that Manga couldn’t refuse.
Who would turn down an opportunity at their dream and on the very first day on the job. A valiant effort, but the numbers game was just too much for the bright young upstart to overcome. Mosh Pit Mike intervening putting and end to the shenanigans of an after match attack before major damage could be done to Monga. DCCW officials forcing Thunder to defend the Heavyweight crown against Mosh Pit in the main event.
Returning the favor from earlier in the night Johnny Manga cleared the ring of Thunder’s counsel. Mosh Pit Mike with a near fall from a swanton bomb. While he might rely on assistance these days with his feet to the fire Thunder proved why he’s the champion with a second successful defense on the night. Not happy with just defending his title Thunder took to adding in extra shots. Once again Johnny Manga hitting the ring making the save.
A distracted Jerry Vandetta seemed to being seeing ghosts. Fonzi Laflur offered the advice for Vandetta stop to smell the roses before the match . During the match Vandetta returned the favor in front of the ref leading to disqualification from flower slap. Following the match Homie once again made his presence felt and Vandetta searching for safety.
Credit Tommy Test with the assist, pointing out to the referee that Devin Reno was about to extended upon the rules. Fooling his evil plot was just the opening Mister Happy needed to secure to win.
While the champions story continues it looks like we’ve seen the final chapter in the saga of Chuey Martinez & Turbo Tony. What started as a match turned into a rivalry that could only ended on when one man suffered a deep loss. Martinez has cost Tony matches, breath, and now wants his career. The sounds of chair shots, and kindo sticks against trash can lids ring throughout the area. Turbo Tony took Martinez’s trusty kindo stick and turned it into a choking device breaking the El Paso monster down to his knees and rendering him unconscious. Turbo Tony’s career will continue while Martinez’s hair will grow back.
While one story concluded the legend of a new title began to take shape. DCCW Broadcaster Fernando Gonzales introduced new backstage correspondent Belle who brought with her the new Route 66 title. A belt desired by all the Burquano’s, that will be fought for in an over the top rope battle royal.
Valak Vile once again reached into his bag of dastardly tricks after being unable to catch up with the swift and speedy Enrique Del Gato, but was caught red handed by the ref.
While victory looked to be assured for Tommy Test that’s why you have to have your head on a swivel in a triple threat. Interference from Devin Reno planted Tommy Test on the mat. Plexx swooping in to steal the victory.
Hobo Hank is no stranger to dealing with the tactics of Matthew Roblez. Hank knew his singles match with Bryan Idol would only be one on one for so long. Sale Taylor pulling Idol out from a three count. Hank expected such underhandedness and came prospered. His trusty sake full of goodies. A banana slipping Idol up as Hank got one over the evil contingent.
