Tapia Promotions announces “Gloves on, Grudges gone“
June 8th Tapia Promotions/BKFC Prospect Series will showcase Albuquerque’s champions challenging themselves while also attempting to tackle the city’s biggest challenge.
Crime and violence are an epidemic here in the Duke City that continues to grow as the years pass by. The combination professional Boxing & Amateur Bare Knuckle card is also expected to give the community an opportunity to talk about the issues, look at prevention, and touch on strengthening the bond between neighbors.
While no official match ups were announced for the card former KOTC champion and rising BKFC star Donald Sanchez, former WBC title holder & New Mexico State Champion Josh “Pitbull” Torres, WBO title holder Jason Sanchez, and UFC vet former KOTC & Legacy FC, current Peak FC Heavyweight champion Cody East are all expected to take part in this event.
In the events press release promoter Teresa Tapia said “We believe in the transformative power of sport.” NBA vet Kenny Thomas a partner in the BKFC prospect series added “Through “Gloves on, Grudges gone,” we want to provide a platform for people to resolve conflict, peacefully, and build stronger connections within the community“.
June 8th “Gloves on, Grudges gone” takes place at Isleta Resort & Casino. Tickets available are currently on sale.
