Lamas vs. Penn Headlines UFC Fight Night 97
The UFC has announced that there second trip to Manila will see a main event of Ricardo “The Bully” Lamas (16-5) against BJ “The Prodigy” Penn (16-10-2) at Featherweight.
Lamas is the number 4 ranked UFC Featherweight contender who’s lost 2 of his last 3 with a TKO loss to Chad Mendes and a unanimous decision loss Max Holloway sandwiching a unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez.
Penn who is now training with the Jackson Wink fight team, is currently serving a 6-month suspension for USADA violation, involving a IV. The former Welterweight and Lightweight champion will be looking to end a 3 fight skid.
UFC Fight Night 97 will be on October 15th at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
